what make this movie the best movie, receiving awards around the world? that makes me want to sit as an audience in a cinema, rather than buy a dvd.
i am contented with the screenplay.. nothing to criticized..what i am not pleased is that, there was no substitles. Hindustani english is not my thing. susah skit nak paham. the accent needed my concentration. so ada lah part2 yg terlepas sbb tak paham. geram lak. i never failed to watch a movie in cinema without subtitles, citer melayu pun aku rasa ada subtitles. tiba2, slumdog millionaire takde plak. if the english is american or british, i can still get it. although i am quite a hindustani fan, (depends la pelakon dia sape kan hehe) tp kalau diorang ckp english, aku still ada masalah memahami ape yg dicakapkan. so can u imagine, the whole story they talk in english?
slumdog millionaire is an eye opener too. no wonder, people in mumbai or india as general dislike the fact of poverty and children-dgn sampah, kotor, kehinaan all those portray in this film. but love and hope drive the movie and you can see how people moving on because of what they hold on to after all the strives.
